Washington Head Coach Accepts Blame for Keeping Jayden Daniels in Game Before Significant Harm

Washington Commanders leader Coach Quinn has stated he shares some the blame for a major ailment to the squad’s signal-caller, Jayden Daniels.

Details of the Harm and Context

Jayden Daniels, who enjoyed among the best rookie campaigns of all time last season, sustained a dislocated left elbow in the Sunday loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Although Daniels passes with his right arm, the issue has placed his campaign in doubt. The injury was significant enough that the TV coverage did not show repeats and several athletes looked away as Daniels was treated by team doctors.

Backlash and Leader’s Reaction

Quinn came under criticism as numerous felt Daniels should not have been on the field in the first place. The injury occurred in the fourth quarter with the Commanders trailing 38-7, making a comeback unlikely. It is common in these circumstances for teams to insert their backup quarterback to avoid injuries to their first-string player.

“I understand. I’ve been reflecting about it nonstop, too, and, man, I missed it,” he remarked of his choice to keep Jayden in the match. “That is 100% my fault.”

Fallout and Squad Outlook

Mariota will be the team’s starting quarterback going forward, but he will guide a team in turmoil. After making the conference title game last season thanks to the rookie’s brilliance, the team have struggled this season. They also saw injuries to cornerback Marshon Lattimore (torn ACL) and wide receiver Luke McCaffrey (collarbone fracture) on Sunday, and have a host of other key players on injured reserve. The Washington squad are three wins and six losses so far, and it would require a huge turnaround for the team to make the postseason.
